Objectives

  • To design a pilot basic training course in SL and migration/refugee in Europe for university teachers and students.
  • To develop the pilot course in different contexts for teachers and students to explore the possibilities of linking their training with the reality of migrants/refugees in Europe.
  • To evaluate the pilot training course in SL and migration/refugee in Europe for university teachers and students.
  • To have a tested training course on SL and migration/refugee in Europe for university teachers and students in different areas of knowledge.

Design of SL(M) university-entity projects

Objectives

  • To establish collaborative networks among students, faculty, organisations and migrants/refugees to design projects that respond to the needs detected.
  • To design SL(M) projects that, framed in a subject or subjects, respond to the social needs of migrants/refugees.
  • To hold a Partnership Day to submit the SL(M) projects to the evaluation of a panel of experts and the members of each University-Encounter team.
  • To elaborate a guide of good practices of integration in Europe that compiles the SL(M) projects and allows to explore the possibilities of this methodology to train university students in the reality of migration and refugee issues and to promote social innovation projects in universities.

Objectives

  • To develop each of the SL(M) projects providing a quality service to the community under the supervision of universities and social entities.
  • To respond, through SL(M) projects, to the social needs identified in migrant/refugee groups in the immediate community environment.
  • To promote the practical learning of university students in contact with their social reality.
  • To place the community as an educational agent in the formative project of the University.
  • To evaluate the implementation of each SL(M) project with the collectives involved.

  • To analyse the impact of SL(M) projects on migrants/refugees, entities and universities.
  • To analyse the contribution of SL(M) projects to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
  • To evaluate the progress in the knowledge and attitudes of university students towards migrants/refugees.
  • To hold an International Conference to serve as an event to disseminate the results achieved in the project and as a space for academic and social dialogue.
